This is one of my favorite songs from Sovereign Grace.

Before the Throne

Before the throne of God above,
I have a strong and perfect plea:
A great High Priest whose name is Love,
Who ever lives and pleads for me.

My name is graven on His hands.
My name is written on His heart.
I know that while in heaven He stands,
No tongue can bid me thence depart.

When Satan tempts me to despair,
And tells me of the guilt within,
Upward I look and see Him there,
Who made an end of all my sin.

Because the sinless Savior died,
My sinful soul is counted free.
For God, the Just, is satisfied
To look on Him and pardon me,
To look on Him and pardon me.

Behold Him there the risen Lamb!
My perfect, spotless righteousness.
The great unchangeable I AM,
The King of glory and of grace.

One with Himself, I cannot die.
My soul is purchased by His blood.
My life is hid with Christ on high,
With Christ my Savior and my God
With Christ my Savior and my God.

A Week At The Farm

Well, we just returned from a week at Andy's parent's house (aka "the Farm"). What a blast! The children of course love it there. They spent time playing with the chicks, swimming in the pond, paddling the new little boat Grandpa got for them and (the reason we really went down) helping with the haying. I have a hilarious picture of Grandpa on the tractor with Nathan asleep on his lap! I can't imagine falling asleep in all that racket, but I guess when you're 3 and you're sleepy you just go for it! :-)
Here's a cute picture of the girls with a few of the chicks. They would get up each morning at dawn and bring the chicks out to play until breakfast time. What a life! :-)

Congratulations Kristofer!

Wow!! Where did the time go? My nephew Kris is graduating from High School on Saturday. Way to go Kris! We're all very proud of you.

I've made an interesting discovery this past year. www.freecycle.org Most of you have probably already heard about it, but I've just been loving it. Check it out if you haven't and find a group in your area. People post items that they are looking for or things that they want to get rid of and its all FREE! (One of my favorite words. ) :-) Its been wonderful as I've been sorting through the attic and trying to "simplify" around here to know that other people are able to make use of some of these things and we don't have to pay to haul it to the dump. I know, I'm easily entertained, but I've got to admit I love it!

Well I can't believe I'm finally blogging! Thanks Linda & Crystal for turning me on to it. Don't know how much I'll actually post but its fun to have an outlet.

As far as the blog name I chose... quite often in the chaos around here I feel like I'm just along for the ride. :-) Seriously though, my patient Father has been working on me for a long time to just let go and let Him lead. I'm stubborn and like to know whats going on so its been a hard road sometimes. How sweet to know that I don't have to plan it all out. I can simply trust that He truly has my best interests at heart and just go "along for the ride"! Thank you Lord for patiently leading me step by step. Can't wait to see what He's got planned for us.
